Cork County Mayor Cllr John Paul O’Shea (Ind)
In honour of the recent achievements of Cork Special Olympics Athletes, County Mayor Cllr John Paul O’Shea will host a Mayoral Reception on Monday, 1st February at 4.30pm in the Council Chambers.
There are six recipients who will be awarded on the day:
1. Laura Ahern from Glanmire who won gold in gymnastics.
2. Aoife O’Sullivan from Ballinlough who won gold and double bronze in gymnastics.
3. Sean Coleman from Youghal who won double silver in aquatics
4. Lisa O’Brien from Ballyhea who won double bronze in athletics
5. Colm Monahan from Ballincollig who won 5th place ribbon in football
6. Trudy Hyland from College Road who won 5th place ribbon in golf
This team represented their County in Los Angeles at the Special Olympics last year.
