The revamped Midleton Distillery Experience has unveiled a new bespoke cocktail making class. Under the tutelage of one of Midleton’s expert mixologists and using locally sourced ingredients, participants will learn the art of creating three specially curated cocktails using award-winning Jameson Irish Whiskey, Jameson Black Barrel and Jameson Crested whiskeys.
Classes are available daily with a running time of approximately 1 hour, catering for up to 16 people per experience, which can also be fully booked on a private and exclusive basis.
Hosted in the purpose-built Kiln Bar, each cocktail station comes fully equipped with all the tools of the trade, shakers and aprons; everything required to create the ultimate trio of cocktails – a Whiskey Sour, Old Fashioned and Jameson Punch. This special space is nestled privately in the upper floors within the original distillery buildings, which further adds to the uniqueness of the experience, where guests are invited to stay on and savour one of their crafted cocktails in the bar.
All visitors will also receive a cocktail recipe book as a memento of their experience, enabling them to re-create the signature serves at home for friends and family to enjoy. Before leaving, guests can peruse the new premium retail facilities for distillery exclusive releases or personalised gift sets.
The newly renovated Midleton Distillery Experience recently reopened its doors following refurbishments in the aftermath of Storm Babet and features new whiskey tours, an immersive auditorium, as well as upgraded retail, bar, and café spaces. The whiskey destination incorporates all seven of Irish Distillers’ whiskey brands including Jameson, Redbreast, Midleton Very Rare, Powers, The Spot Whiskeys, Method and Madness and Knappogue Castle.
The 60-minute cocktail making experience are priced from €60 per person. Bookings can be made at www.midletondistilleryexperience.com.
