With the centenary of the Easter Rising in 2016, the determination of the Irish to fight, survive and thrive is very much to the fore. The resilience of the Irish in business is remarkable, particularly as the economy picks up and there is a return to confidence in both commercial and consumer markets. An Post has launched its event series “Grow My Business”, which addresses how Irish businesses can increase their opportunity for success in 2016.
A winning line up of speakers has been announced for the An Post “Grow My Business” Cork conference, which takes place on 12 November from 7:30am to 12:30pm in the Radisson Hotel at Little Island, Cork.
“The SME sector is vital to Ireland’s economic performance and small businesses are very important to An Post, so we have collaborated with some of Ireland’s business leaders to bring together a conference that embodies the resilience of Irish business people and demonstrates ways that we can create opportunities in 2016,” said Fiona Heffernan, Head of Post Media, An Post.
The Director of Ireland 2016, John Concannon, will reveal his views on how the expected increase in in-bound tourism will make its mark on Ireland’s businesses, and how from a practical perspective businesses can gear-up to capitalise on the opportunity this presents in 2016.
Another key speaker that will address Cork businesses is Gary Brown, one of Ireland’s leading marketing experts and chairman of ad agency, Target McConnells will provide practical tips and perspectives on how to grow customers while sharing his insights on the challenges for Irish business owners.
The 2015 Ireland Rugby Team’s Mindset Coach, Enda McNulty, will discuss how the skills required to be focused in business to optimize success and capitalize on the opportunities presented in the year ahead.
There has been a notable return to premium spending in Ireland in recent months, and Elverys Sports Marketing Manager Anne Marie Hanley will share insights to Elverys social media strategy. She will also look into online shopping trends on elverys.ie and discuss the best approach to selling online.
