RTÉ 2FM, in association with Kearys Motor Group, has given a car away to one lucky listener in aid of Childline. The competition ran for over two weeks across all shows on RTÉ 2FM. The lucky winner from Clonskeagh, Dublin, was announced on Drive It with The 2 Johnnies when Ruth Groarke won a brand-new Dacia Duster. People from all over the country who entered the competition raised an impressive €47,000 for Childline to help children throughout Ireland.
Caroline Downey President of Childline said “On behalf of Childline and all the children and young adults who use the Childline service we would like to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all at Kearys Motor Group, 2FM and to everyone who entered the competition for your support. Our moto is Never Give Up On A Child. Ever and with your support we will continue to do so by always being there for those who need Childline. With gratitude and love thank you once again.”
