One of the consequences of increasing protests at City Council meetings has been a need for private security.
We note that the Cork City Council are now seeking tenders for “Security and Cleaning Services”
A detailed description of the tender request says:
Cork City Council invites tenders from competent contractors to carry out the following services:
1. Office Cleaning of the New Civic Offices at City Hall
2. Security of City Hall Campus
3. Window Cleaning of City Council Municipal Buildings (listed below) • City Hall Campus • Central Fire Station Building, Anglesea Street • Fire Brigade Sub-Station, Ballyvolane • Cork Public Museum in Fitzgerald Park • Cork Archive Institute, Great William O’ Brien Street • Control Office, Multi Storey Car Park, Paul Street • Public Weighbridge at Kennedy Quay • Albert Quay House • The Central Library, Grand Parade • Tory Top Road Library • Hollyhill Library (new library) • Blackpool Library • Douglas Library • Old Youghal Road Library • Bishopstown Library
