As part of an intelligence led joint operation, officers from Revenue’s Customs Service with the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Cork Divisional Drugs Unit, yesterday (14/7/15) seized 1 kg of Herbal Cannabis, with an estimated value of €20,000.00 in Cork.
The drugs which originated in Cameroon were seized when a controlled delivery was carried out in Douglas Road, Cork,
A 57 year old male was arrested, under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996, and was later released.
A file is being prepared for the DPP.
Investigations are continuing.
