You know it’s Summer when news starts arriving about the Cork Summer Show.
This years two-day event will take place in a fortnight on Saturday
20th and Sunday 21st June 2015.
Ulster Bank have just announced they are sponsoring the event. This is
sure to boost the Bank’s credentials in farming circles.
Ulster Bank Regional Director, Tom Leahy said, “The value and
contribution of the agri-sector to the Irish economy cannot be
underestimated, with Ireland’s farmers producing over €10 billion
worth of food exports annually. At Ulster Bank our goal is to work
with both existing and new customers in the sector and we are
delighted to support the Cork Summer Show 2015, the leading
agricultural show in the Munster. We have close relationships
throughout the food chain in Cork, including primary producers and
small and medium-sized food firms. The Cork Summer Show allows us to
highlight and build on those relationships, as well as to help
celebrate the importance of the local agri-food industry.”
This year’s Cork Summer Show expects to attract over 50,000 visitors.
An incredible line up of livestock shows, sheep shearing,
show-jumping, vintage tractor rally as well as farm to fork artisan
food markets, craft beer stalls, musical entertainment, home & garden
show, petting farm and dog shows will guarantee a great festival
atmosphere and a super weekend for all show visitors.
“We welcome the support of Ulster Bank at this year’s Cork Summer
Show, and believe that it definitely will be the best year yet,” said
Gerard Murphy, Chairman of the Munster Agricultural Society. “It is
evident that Ulster Bank really want to support the farming community
in Ireland and sponsorship of the Cork Summer Show is an ideal way to
communicate that message to the sector”.

at Curraheen when the area will be home to more than 1,700 animals
