Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Glen Avenue, Blackpool, Cork on Monday evening, 23rd March 2015 at around 7.50pm.
A 51 year old man, driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, suffered fatal injuries when his car left the road and collided with an unoccupied vehicle, which was parked in a car park, adjacent to the road.
The injured man was taken to Cork University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. A post mortem is to be arranged.
The scene is currently preserved.
