400gms of cocaine, with an estimated street value of €28,000 were seized yesterday (04/12/14), at a house in Cork City.
The drugs which originated in South Africa, were concealed in a shipment of sandals. A 22 year old Nigerian female were arrested and is currently detained under drug trafficking legislation.
Investigations are on-going.
It was an intelligence-led operation between Revenue’s Customs Service and An Garda Síochána, focusing on the sale and supply of controlled drugs in Cork.
