Commercial terminal traffic at Cork Airport in 2010 was down by 9% on the previous year. And looking further back… last years traffic was a massive 31% down on 2005.
Todays figures released by the Irish Aviation Authority show Cork Airport has faired realtively well in 2010 compared to Dublin and Shannon Airports.

Nationally air traffic levels in 2010 are similar to those seen in 2004. The economic downturn continues to impact on performance and additionally, in 2010, the ash cloud crisis and adverse weather conditions impacted negatively on air traffic. The Irish Aviation Authority are optimistic that growth will return in 2011.
