It will feature a celebrity chef, several local food producers, a handful
of food start-ups, add a “sprinkling” of major retailers!
The Cork & Kerry Food Forum is part of a new drive to boost the food sector
in the region.
Food start-ups and established local producers will take part in the trade
conference in City Hall tomorrow
It will also feature a ‘meet the buyers’ session with retailers,
and a series of free cookery demonstrations by celebrity chef Kevin Dundon,
and tasting sessions for the public from 1pm onwards.
The event is organised by a partnership of the Local Enterprise Offices in
Cork & Kerry, Cork City and County Council, Bord Bia and SuperValu.

A stall in the English Market that sells produce West Cork reports that
it’s first “half year” business has been a success
“Fresh from West Cork” is a co-operative stall with more more than 40
producers.
Each has a chance to sell their goods in the heart of the City: vegetables,
organic beef, smoked fish, artisan breads, jams, chutneys, and cheeses
Goleen-based organic farmer Walter Ryan-Purcell spearheaded the effort to
open the stall late last year and is delighted with the response
