Cork Airport are now supporting “ConnectIreland” with it’s marketing drive.
It’s a Government initiative announced in 2012.
It rewards people who can find foreign companies which are thinking of expanding, and encourage them to open branches in Ireland instead of elsewhere.
The IDA handles negotiations. If and when jobs are created the person who started the process can receive a bounty of up to EUR 1,500
Almost 500 jobs have already been created in Ireland, and more than 160 of those are in Cork
“Lord of the Dance” Michael Flatley – who lives in Castlehyde, near Fermoy – is an Ambassador for ConnectIreland and hopes it can tackle the tide of emigration
