The man behind the anti-austerity “Ballyhea says no” bank bondholder
protests is to run for a seat in the European Parliament.
Yesterday morning marked the third anniversary of the weekly march in
Ballyhea, North County Cork, near the Cork-Limerick Border.
His decision to run was inspired by Dáil Deputy Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan. Mr
O’Flynn says he doesn’t have much money to run a campaign but feels”. The

We spoke with Diarmuid O’Flynn after yesterdays 157th week of marching. He
said this week look into getting his name on the ballot paper for “Ireland
South” this week.
Diarmuid O’Flynn said the European Union could be a great institution, but
it’s lost it way and needs repairing from the inside out
