Cork’s Kent Train station won’t “turn it’s back on the City anymore”
From this summer construction will begun on an new entrance onto Horgan’s Quay,
so that pedestrians will have a shorter walk into the City Centre
The Minister of State for Public Transport Alan Kelly has confirmed funding of
1-point-8 million euro for the project, which will include a walkway
under the tracks.
It’s part of a wider 8-point-5 million euro series of transport grants
announced for Cork today
Minister Kelly knows the historic train station can’t be moved! but
says new entrance will bring it
within easy walking distance of the bus station, and more importantly
the City Centre
