It was all smiles at National Lottery HQ this afternoon, when a lucky Cork Lady collected her cheque for €100,000 she won the fantastic prize in the Christmas Millionaire Raffle draw on Tuesday 31 December 2013.
“My daughter purchased the ticket for me as a Christmas present.”
“On New Year’s Day, we all checked the ticket online…we actually checked it a number of times! Afterwards, we had a small family gathering to celebrate the win.” said the delighted lady. “It has taken a few days to sink in…I am just delighted to be starting out the New Year with a lovely win.”
Talking about how she might spend her winnings, she said: “We might look at purchasing a new car and doing some repairs on our house.”
“After that I will treat the family and possibly go on a lovely holiday.”
The winner wishes to keep the win private. The lucky winning ticket number is 109 299 and it was bought in JR Porter Ltd, Wilton Shopping Centre, Cork on Thursday 19 December 2013.
