There was a meeting at Cork Racecourse Mallow today, in spite of the bad forecast!
Fermoy trainer David Fenton tasted success at his local track as Avondhu Lady scored under Bryan Cooper.
The 6-4 favourite landed the McCarthy Insurance Group Mares’ Handicap Hurdle by four and a half lengths over Evesham star, completing a double for Cork trainers after Bandon’s James Dullea won the McCarthy Insurance Group Maiden Hurdle with Benrouge.
