From January small companies in Ireland which are involved in
scientific research and innovation
will be able to tap into a 1-point-25 billion European Union fund.
Called “Horizon 2020” it was launched today in Dublin.
The fund for the entire European union is worth 80 billion euro,
and Sean Kelly MEP says Ireland is “punching above its weight”
in being allocated such a large share.
The programme runs from January 2014 to December 2020
Projects which involve Science, Innovation and Technology,
and which have the potential to create jobs will be eligible to apply.

and what makes this scheme different is smaller companies will be able to apply
