The National Lottery has this morning appealed to Lotto players in Co. Cork to check their Lotto tickets after one lucky ticketholder scooped last night’s Lotto jackpot worth €5,325,592.
The winning numbers are: 06, 08, 13, 15, 21, 30 and bonus number is 17.
This lucky ticketholder from the Rebel County is the 7th Lotto jackpot winner of 2019. So far this year, more than €105 million has been won in prizes in all Lotto game which includes 15 new millionaires which have been created in the Lotto and Lotto Plus games.
A National Lottery spokesperson said it hopes to reveal the name of the winning store in the next couple of days and said: “As people across Ireland get themselves out of bed early this morning to watch Ireland’s opening game in the Rugby World Cup, maybe one of these people in Co. Cork has an extra wide grin, safe in the knowledge that they are €5,325,592 richer.”
“With a jackpot win of this amount, it is important that we take some time to inform the winning retailer and of course to give the winning ticketholder the time and space they need to let this amazing win to sink in so we will be announcing the winning store in the coming days. If you are the lucky ticketholder please be sure to sign the back of the ticket, keep it safe and contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 01 836 4444 and we will make arrangements for you to collect your prize”.
This jackpot was close to being shared three ways as another Cork Lotto player as well as one from Co. Meath fell just one number short, matching five numbers and the bonus ball. These two lucky player will win €51,435 each, sharing the €102,870 prize.
These tickets were sold at the Circle K service station in Moorepark West, Fermoy. Co. Cork and the Giles Bros. Longwood Post Office in Enfield. Co. Meath.
With more than 116,000 winners in last night’s Lotto draws, the National Lottery today appealed to all of its players across the country to check their tickets to see if they are a winner.
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total more than €5.4 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 32 years ago. In 2018 alone, more than €227 million was raised; the equivalent of €620,000 a day in support for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
