The Garda Commissioner has said that members of the force are allowed to be
act in local “dramatic societies”, but he wouldn’t comment on whether or not
a member who played the role of a Garda in a TV Series may have
over-stepped the mark
Earlier this month the Commissioner ordered an internal enquiry a real-life
Detective appeared as undercover officer in the violent RTE series “Love Hate”
Depending on the report the Detective could face disciplinary action.
The Garda Commissioner was in Cork today,
and reporters asked for an update on the controversy
