The ever-popular Lord Mayor’s Charity Golf Classic returns on 20 April and promises to be the sporting event of the season… par none!
This year, the Lord Mayor’s Charity Golf Classic will be held in the first municipal golf course in Ireland at Mahon golf course.
Speaking at the launch, the Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr. Mick Finn said: “The first municipal golf course in Ireland at Mahon will be the setting for my Lord Mayor’s golf classic in April and I’m calling on all golfers to support it. As a playing member of Mahon GC, I’m delighted to hold it at this great estuary location with all the proceeds going to local charities. Open to golfers of all abilities.”
Proceeds from the charity golf classic will be donated to the following organisations: Cork City Hospitals Children’s Club, Irish Guide Dogs for the blind, Cope Foundation, Marymount University Hospital & Hospice, The Rainbow Club Cork Centre for Autism and St Vincent De Paul (SVP).
Teams of three are invited to join, and cost per team is €150. Anyone wishing to enter a team can contact the Lord Mayor’s Office at 021 492 4120.
