Argos has launched a €1500 festive giveaway in a bid to help Cork City Centre shoppers fool-proof their Christmas with 50 prizes up for grabs in total.
Inspired by the Argos Christmas campaign, which features a mischievous ‘fool’ who tries to ruin people’s Christmases by stealing their batteries and turning off their Christmas lights, Argos has unleashed fool replicas into two of its Irish Argos stores – Liffey Valley and Cork Queens Old Castle.
All shoppers need to do bag a prize is find one of the cheeky fools and head to the Argos counter declaring “I’ve found a fool!” to win one of the prize vouchers. The fools are being placed in the stores over three consecutive days, giving customers more time to capture a fool.
Argos is encouraging customers to capture the fools in a bid to rescue the Christmases of Ireland. With same-day Check & Reserve available across 40 Argos stores in Ireland, the retailer is certainly doing its bit to help fool-proof Christmas for all Irish shoppers.
Voucher-laden fools will be hitting the stores from 19th December, and the prizes go up to €500 in value.
An Argos spokesperson said: “For many hard-working families, the festive season doesn’t come cheap, so we wanted to give people a helping hand with our €1500 giveaway to help Irish customers to fool-proof their Christmas. It’s also a chance for our customers to capture a cheeky fool of their own and make sure they don’t wreak havoc on the big day.”
