A senior Cabinet Minister says proposals to give TDs the Government’s
financial forecasts before the Budget are unworkable.
Labour Deputy Kevin Humphreys floated the idea earlier yesterday-
claiming it would give politicians time to debate how State money is
spent.
He also wants to see information given to the Fiscal Advisory Council
handed over to the Oireachtas Finance Committee.
However, Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney won’t be supporting the moves.
