A planning permission application for a new filling station off the Carrigaline-Crosshaven Road has moved a step closer to being granted.
EMO Oil Ltd trading as Great Gas has applied for permission to develop an un-manned petrol and diesel forecourt at “Kilnagleary Business Park, Kilnaglery Crosshaven Road (R612), Carrigaline, Co Cork”.
Permission was originally applied for in October 2017. Further information was requested, and received since.
The status of planning application number 17/0661 has now been updated to “Conditional – Decision Made”
For those familiar with the area this is on or near to a road that heads into a Courtyard style industrial estate which contains the An Post sorting office, and other businesses. The road currently has a Tyre outlet which also sells diesel. It is common in many parts of Ireland to see diesel being sold at industrial sites, but this application also includes petrol.
The development – if it went ahead – would consist of an un-manned petrol and diesel station facility, with “2 x 4 hose dispensing pumps on 2 separate pump islands with a canopy above” along with “2 x 40,000 litre underground fuel storage tanks and associated pipework, new vehicle wash slab and drainage, new 50.40sq.m storage shed, new 10,000 litre petroleum/oil interceptor, new concrete and asphalt ground surfaces and associated drainage works, new concrete post and rail boundary fence and planting, new 6.00m high illuminated price/id sign and a new entrance/exit point.”
