West Cork Chamber Festival (29th June – 8th July)
In Bantry, it’s one of the leading chamber music events in Europe.A gathering of music lovers replete with evening concerts, beautiful arrangements by string quartets and workshops from respected figures on the classical music scene. Free and ticketed events.
Clonakilty Street Carnival 18th June
Clonakilty Street Carnival brings a festival vibe and the town will be fully pedestrianised from 9am until 9pm. Throughout carnival day, amidst the colourful ribbons, bunting, street performers and costumes, will be live music, a kids zone with supervised bouncy castles, face painting, magicians and the Clonakilty Street Carnival dinner party will run the length of the towns’ main street – last year serving over 2000!
Listowel Writers Week (30th May – 3rd June)
An internationally acclaimed literary festival devoted to bringing together writers and audiences at unique and storytelling events, lectures, creative workshops and children’s schedule.
Galway International Arts Festival (16th -29th July)
Experience theatre, dance, music, opera, street spectacle, visual arts, and comedy like never before. The Guardian named the festival as one of the Top 5 Summer Festivals in Europe.
Castlebar International 4 Days’ Walks (28th June – 1st July)
Meet, talk, walk and discover bogs, rivers, mountains and unspoilt corners of the West of Ireland. All of the road walks are through the countryside around Castlebar and each day 10km, 20km and 40km road walks are organised.
Ballina Salmon Festival (8th – 15th July)
Ballina is home to one of the best rivers in Ireland, with the best fishing waters and salmon in the country. Its a celebration celebrate of our talents, our culture, our heritage and our unique status as the Salmon Capital of Ireland.
