Work will finally commence in the next few weeks on a long awaiting Library
on the Northside of the City.
It’s part of the overall Northside regeneration plan.
The new Hollyhill library will be on the grounds of Terence MacSwiney
Community College
The large scale project willl take 18 months and cost in 3-point-8 million
euro using national and local authority funding.
More than 60 short term construction jobs will be created and the existing
4 staff managing the temporary library at Foyle avenue will be transferred
to the new building when completed.
Local Fianna Fail Cllr Tony Fitzgerald says the hard work of many people
has paid off
