Irish Water and Cork County Council plan to carry out work to connect a new watermain in the Kerry Pike area of Co Cork from February 15-16. The connection of this new watermain is to facilitate enhanced security of supply for new and existing developments in the area, leading to a more reliable water supply.
While this essential work in taking place, some customers in the townlands of Killard, Clogheen, Kerry Pike (including the village of Kerry Pike) and parts of Healy’s Bridge will experience disruption to their water supply.
We will endeavour to keep any disruption to a minimum but there are expected to be supply outages of a number of hours between 8am and 5pm on these dates.
Irish Water would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause to local customers.
Any customers who have identified themselves as vulnerable will be contacted in advance and we would encourage any vulnerable customers who are not registered with us to contact us on 1850 278 278 for further information.
While this work is being carried out we are asking customers on the public water network in these areas to conserve water as much as possible.
Regular updates will be posted to the Service and Supply section of the Irish Water website, www.water.ie and customers with queries or concerns can contact the 24/7 customer care line at 1850 278 278.
