Gardai in Cork are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision
that occurred on the N25 East bound at Harpers Island between the Little
Island and the Cobh Junctions at approximately 11.30am this morning.
A male in his 70’s was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided
with a second car. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of
the second car was taken to Cork University Hospital with injuries described
as not life threatening. Both were the sole occupants of the cars.
The N25 East bound is currently closed between the Little Island and Cobh
Junctions and East bound traffic is asked to use the old road to
Glounthaune.
