Malow based EPS has been shortlisted to receive the Gold accolade at the Deloitte Best Managed Companies (BMC) Awards 2018. The recognition comes after the company, which employs 410 people in Ireland, retained its status as one of Ireland’s Best Managed Companies for the third consecutive year in 2017.
“It’s a great achievement to consistently make the grade at these prestigious awards”, says Managing Director Patrick Buckley. “It provides us each year with an invaluable opportunity to pause, reflect and review our progress over the previous 12 months”.
It’s been a busy year for EPS as the company launched its €4.5m Centre of Excellence for Manufacturing and Design in May 2017 and will enter its 50th year in business in 2018. “We are fortunate to have had a successful 2017 and there are plans to further expand the workforce in Ireland and the UK next year”, says Patrick.
EPS is one of 13 companies up for the Gold award in 2018. Shortlisted companies work with coaches from Deloitte and Bank of Ireland, as they face an in-depth review by the judging panel on every aspect of their operations.
Each must demonstrate how their organisation is meeting its strategic objectives and adding value to the business, while receiving invaluable, customised feedback. The judging panel, chaired by Frank Ryan, will consider a broad range of criteria including strategy, capability, commitment, financials and growth potential across all key functions of the business.
