Details have been announced of Cork’s latest Film festival.
It’s called “IndieCork” and will be run by a host of names including Mick
Hannigan and Una Feely.
The pair were controversially made redundant from the older “Cork
International Film Festival”
in March and have now bounced back with their own rival “Indie” event which
is focused more on smaller
independent films.
IndieCork will run from October 16th to 20th – which is a month before the
“Cork International Film Festival”
FIlms will be screened in the Gate Cinema, Triskel Christchurch and the
Kino on Washington Street,
which is due to be re-opened. IndieCork will also operate a ‘pop-up
cinema’ throughout the city.
“Seven Windows Brewery” an independent Cork company have come on board as
main sponsor.

IndieCork also announced the launch of their Membership Scheme which is
based on the successful model of Cork City FC. Organisers say anyone will
be able to purchase a share for 90 euro.
