The Mayor of San Francisco is here in Cork, and various groups have been hosting events to show off what Cork has to offer, and to cement friendly links with the well known liberal West Coast City. Last evening Cork Chamber (of Commerce) and NGINX held an event in the Kingsley Hotel. Cork has many links with San Francisco. A San Francisco/Cork sister city relationship was formed in May 1984. More recently, Mayor Lee was a grand marshal of Cork City’s 2013 St Patrick’s Day parade.
