Chill Insurance, the fastest growing independent Irish insurance
broker, proudly announced today the signing of a three year
sponsorship deal for the Cork Senior and Under 21s Football and
Hurling teams.
The announcement was made this morning (Tuesday 5th March 2013) in
Cork by Bob Ryan, Cork County Board Chairman, and Fergal Lynch, Head
of Marketing and Retail for Chill Insurance.
The Irish insurance broker has trebled in size over the past two
years, and employs over 150 people, with plans to create a significant
number of additional jobs in the coming year.
“We are delighted to have forged this agreement to sponsor Cork’s
football and hurling greats. As a growing Irish company, we look for
family and community sponsorships to link with our customers and build
our brand. With legions of Cork GAA supporters and such
high-performing teams, the Chill Insurance brand will be very much at
home in the rebel county,” Fergal Lynch said.
Cork’s County Board had talks with a number of potential sponsors
before agreeing the Chill Insurance deal, the County Chairman said.
“The association with Cork GAA is a high profile sporting opportunity,
and we have an obligation to find partners that share our ethos and
are committed to our teams, clubs and supporters. Chill Insurance is
a strong Irish business, with the same determination to succeed as our
players, so it is a good day for Cork GAA all round,” Bob Ryan said.
Chill Insurance, founded in 2007, offers an unrivalled service in
providing best value and choice for motor, home, life cover, and
health insurance, as well as commercial cover for business. The
independent company deals with all of the major insurers, giving
consumers a single access point to get the best policy at an
affordable price, with the company trading at www.chill.ie and on 1890
30 20 20.
The Cork GAA deal is the company’s first major foray into sporting
sponsorship at this level, although the brand has a number of media
links including TV3’s weather sponsorship, and the recent sponsorship
of RTÉ’s Christmas movie schedule, as well as local community
sponsorships around its Dublin suburban retail outlets.
The new relationship between Chill Insurance and the Cork County
Board, will see the county’s senior football and hurling teams take to
the field this weekend bearing the new Chill Insurance logo.
