94 jobs are to be lost in Cork. G-S-K Trading Services – in the Cork Airport Business Park – is transferring the roles to the UK as part of a restructuring programme. Cork employees were warned of the possible job losses last year, but they was only confirmed this afternoon. GlaxoSmithKline Trading Services Limited was established in 2006 and handles accounts, secretarial services, and reporting for the multi-national. A spokesperson for GlaxoSmithKline says the company “will retain a strong presence in Ireland”, and it’s other businesses here are NOT affected by today’s announcement.
