At 9 o’clock this morning Cork City Lord Mayor Cllr Des Cahill (Fine Gael) opened a Book of Condolence in The Atrium, City Hall in memory of Martin McGuinness RIP (Sinn Fein), Former Northern Ireland Deputy First Minister.
The Lord Mayor Cllr Des Cahill said:
“The President of Ireland has paid tribute to Martin McGuinness and his contribution to the advancement of peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland, and in this context I am opening a Book of Condolence to allow the people of Cork to express their sympathies on the passing of Mr McGuinness”
The Book of Condolence will be available for signing for one week during regular office hours.
