Cork travel specialist Sarah McCarthy – from Glanmire – has been named as ‘Best Travel Counsellor 2017’.
Fellow Cork Travel Counsellor, Ballincollig-based Mary Foyle also collected an award on the night.
The black-tie awards ceremony for Travel Counsellors Ireland took place at Fota Island Resort, Cork on Friday, 10th March, celebrating the very best talent within Travel Counsellors’ Irish network of franchisees.
The gala was the concluding event to an action-packed two-day conference for Travel Counsellors, which was attended by over 140 travel professionals. The conference included a keynote address by prominent fashion stylist, broadcaster and entrepreneur Sonya Lennon, who spoke on the necessity of building and sharing a personal brand story.
Speaking on her win as Best Travel Counsellor, Sarah McCarthy stated:
“It is an incredible honour to receive such a prestigious award for the eighth year in a row. After deciding to join Travel Counsellors in 2006, I have never looked back. It is such a rewarding career being part of such a forward-thinking and dynamic travel company.”
General Manager of Travel Counsellors Ireland, Cathy Burke added:

On her win, Mary Foyle said:
