Today two schools in Cork will receive a visitor from the White House today.
Leah Katz Hernandez will visit St Columbas GNS and Bishopstown Community School.
Leah works as the ROTUS in the West Wing of the White House. Leah is the first Deaf sign language user to have this important post. Leah presented at last weekends International Deaf Education Conference held in Portlaoise along with Claudia Gordon – a fellow employee in the Obama administration. The conference was organised by Corkman Andrew Geary, whose son attends St Columbas Deaf facility in Douglas, Cork.
