Cork Airport has reported strong growth in commercial aircraft movements once again in in July (+14.4%) which is the strongest growth of all three national airports.
Niall MacCarthy Managing Director of Cork Airport strongly has welcomed the latest national statistics:
“We are now working hard to ensure that growth continues right through the Winter months. In that regard, we are delighted to announce the following further growth at Cork for this Winter season commencing this October bank holiday weekend to next March.”
Summary of Cork Airport increases:
- Aer Lingus – Lanzarote: increase from 2-3 to 4 weekly
- Aer Lingus – Malaga: increase from 2-3 to 2-4 weekly
- Ryanair – Gran Canaria: new winter operation (1 weekly)
- Ryanair – Malaga: new winter operation (2 weekly)
- Ryanair – Tenerife-South: new winter operation (1 weekly)
- Stobart Air – Glasgow: increase from 4 to 5 weekly
- Stobart Air – Manchester: increase from 14 to 18 weekly
- Stobart Air – Southampton: new winter operation (4 weekly)
Niall MacCarthy Managing Director of Cork Airport said “This represents further choice for Munster people this Winter season and further opportunity for foreign inbound tourism. We are now working on other opportunities for Summer 2017 and will announce these later this year.”
