A coffee morning fundraising event was held on behalf of the Cork City Daffodil Day Committee at Nash 19, Princes Street, Cork yesterday morning.
The event was co-hosted by Claire Nash, proprietor of Nash 19 and Bewley’s Ireland who were pleased to be part of this fundraising event for the Irish Cancer Society who provide such valuable services for cancer patients.
The funds raised will be used for the ongoing services provided by the Society which includes Night Nursing, Daffodil Centres, Nurseline and the Volunteer Driver Service.
Daffodil Day this year is on the Saturday 12th March, 2016 in Cork city and the Society appeals to the public for their continued support so that all their services can continue to operate for cancer patients. They re-iterate that over 92% of the Society’s funding is received from voluntary collections and there are ever increasing demands on the valuable services provided. Saturday promises to be bright and sunny so we urge people to come out and support us for Daffodil Day. There will be a great buzz around the city with volunteers selling daffodils and other merchandise with members of Cork City Fire Brigade in attendance adding to the gaiety.
