Kinsale Chamber of Tourism & Business launched its ‘Christmas Card
from Kinsale’ campaign, to coincide with switching on of the lights on
the new Christmas tree in the Town Council Park.
Mayor, Tony Cierans helped switch on the lights on the beautiful new
8m Christmas tree as well as the new lights on Main Street. Santa and
Mrs Claus arrived by fire engine to meet many local children and the
‘Kinsale Voices’ choir, to kick start the festive season in Kinsale.
For this promotion, all Kinsale Chamber members and traders will be
offering visitors a free Christmas Postcard to send to family or
friends anywhere in the world. They are invited to enter a competition
on HYPERLINK “http://www.kinsale.ie” www.kinsale.ie to win a number
of fantastic prizes, sponsored by Chamber members, over the coming
months.
The photograph on the Christmas postcard was taken by John Collins and
captures Kinsale in a beautiful, bright snowy scene from Ardbrack. The
photograph on each postcard will change with the seasons as a new
design will be distributed in January and again in March.
“Kinsale Chamber of Tourism & Business is looking forward to a festive
month of seasonal shopping, with many visitors to the hotels and B&Bs,
restaurants and cafes as well as a number of indoor and outdoor
activities taking place during the winter,” said Hal McElroy, Chairman
Kinsale Chamber of Tourism & Business.
“We hope that visitors and customers enter into the spirit of our
Christmas card from Kinsale Postcard and that they send it to friends
and family all over the world,” he added.
