Sims IVF Group is pleased to announce the appointment Dr Faiza Shafi as Specialist in fertility and reproductive medicine, effective immediately. Dr Shafi will be based in the Sims IVF clinic in Cork.
Dr Shafi has worked in Ireland for the past eight years in a variety of roles in both obstetrics and gynaecology and fertility. As a member of British Fertility Society, the European Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, she has presented numerous research papers in prestigious industry conferences at both a national and international level.
Commenting on Dr Shafi’s appointment, Dr John Kennedy, Group Medical Director of Sims IVF Group said: “Sims IVF is delighted to welcome Dr Faiza Shafi to the team. At the core of Dr Shafi’s work is her commitment to delivering optimum results for her patients. She brings a wealth of national and international knowledge to her new role. This knowledge coupled with her passion for women’s health enables her to deliver personalised care and treatment to patients in the Cork clinic.”
Dr Shafi graduated from Punjab University Lahore in 2003 with a distinction and completed her fellowship with College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan in 2009. After relocating to Ireland in 2011, she obtained membership of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the Royal College of Physicians.
Dr Shafi said: “I am delighted to be starting my position with Sims IVF in Cork. I look forward to assisting my patients to navigate the road of IVF and fertility.”
