Having brought Ireland’s largest Christmas Ice skating rink to Cork City in 2007, Bill Cremin, Managing Director of Cool Running Events now runs four Ice skating rinks across the country, welcoming over 200,000 skaters from November to January. Looking forward to their 13th year in Cork City where it all first began, Bill said “Since Cork on Ice was established in 2007 it has been a fantastic journey which has grown year on year. We are still welcoming so many familiar faces who began skating with us in 2007 which is amazing to see. Ice skating is such an enjoyable activity for the whole family whether you’re five or eighty and really gets everyone in the festive spirit. We have a great team working with us here in Cork, many who return year on year which really makes it extra special. We are delighted to be located this year even closer to the city centre in our new home on Centre Park Road. As it is just minutes from the city centre, it means that our customers can take in everything that the city has to offer – all within walking distance.”
Cork on Ice will open seven days a week from November 22nd and will run five sessions per day from Monday to Friday and ten sessions per day on Saturday and Sunday and through the Christmas holidays. As Ireland’s largest operator of seasonal ice rinks, Cork on Ice prides itself on providing the best ice skating experience, ensuring each customer has an enjoyable, safe and memorable skating experience, creating amazing festive memories with friends, colleagues or family that last a lifetime.
