Entertainment NewsA County Cork punter is thanking their lucky stars for taking a modest punt on three EuroMillions numbers after they landed a tasty four-figure sum.
The anonymous customer placed a €5 treble in a BoyleSports shop on Tuesday and was left hoping for numbers 25, 33 and 48 all to come out in the main EuroMillions draw that evening.
In the blink of an eye and against odds of 1,500/1, all three numbers rolled out triggering the staggering payout.
After all the excitement, the customer was able to call back into their local betting shop and exchange the €5 betslip for a midweek boost to the tune of €7,505.
Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “Well done to our customer in Cork who landed a massive treble after spending just €5 to leave with a €7,500 profit. They made it look easy with only 3 numbers required before they were rolling in the cash and we wish our customer happy spending and huge congratulations”.
