Cork East Fine Gael TD and Minister of State at the Department of Justice & Equality David Stanton welcomed the decision to hold this year’s Fine Gael Parliamentary Party “think-in” in East Cork. This annual meeting prior to the return of the Dáil and Seanad after the summer recess will be held in Garryvoe Hotel on Thursday, 12th & Friday, 13th September and will be attended by all Fine Gael TDs and Senators, in addition to the recently elected MEPs.
“I was delighted that my constituency of Cork East has been chosen as the location for this year’s think-in. I look forward to welcoming my parliamentary party colleagues to beautiful east Cork. I hope that many of them might take the opportunity to spend a bit of time in the area and visit local sights in Youghal, Midleton, Carrigtwohill and Cobh, as well as the magnificent coastline and countryside.
“The fact that the Garryvoe Hotel and its sister hotel the Bayview Hotel have been chosen by the Fine Gael parliamentary party to hold its think-in is testament to the high standards of accommodation in the Cork area and the efforts made by the hospitality sector to support and enhance the growth of East Cork tourism. I am confident that my colleagues will be impressed and that the event will be a great success”, concluded Minister Stanton.
