Aircoach, Ireland’s leading private bus and coach operator has today announced details of an app that will enable customers to pre-purchase their bus tickets in advance. The initiative means there will no longer be a requirement for customers to carry cash or to queue at the ticket desk at Dublin Airport. This announcement comes just over a year after Aircoach announced they were the first operator in the country to launch contactless payments onboard their vehicles.
To purchase an Aircoach mobile ticket customers simply need to download the app, create an account and select the service they wish to travel on. Once purchased, the ticket can then be scanned on any Aircoach bus ticket machine.
As the official coach supplier to Leinster Rugby, several team members including Josh Van Der Flier, James Ryan and James Lowe recently helped launch the Aircoach mobile ticketing app as part of their ‘Tackling Paper Waste’ campaign.
Commenting on the launch of the mobile ticketing app service, Dervla McKay, Managing Director of Aircoach said; “The launch of this mobile ticketing app to purchase tickets for travelling with Aircoach is a wonderful initiative which truly brings Aircoach into the modern age. Aircoach consistently listens to the needs and requirements of our customers and we hope that our app makes travel for our passengers that little bit easier. “
Commenting on trends and the changing needs of passengers Ms. McKay added; “Through flexible booking and payment options such as the new mobile ticketing service, Aircoach aim to provide our customers with a reliable and accommodating service that reflects the varying needs of the modern passenger.”
Discounts for purchasing multi-journey tickets are also available from the app. For further information on how to download and use the mobile ticketing app for travelling with Aircoach please log on to https://www.aircoach.ie/faqs
