High Street Books will be expanding this month and will relocate two of their current stores, the Douglas Court Shopping Centre store and Capwell Road Store to one large premises on the South Douglas Road. The exciting move will also create additional jobs in the area.
Known for its progressive nature, in April 2013, High Street Books opened a dedicated Teacher Resource Centre to offer a comprehensive educational support service to teachers. The Teacher Resource Centre is one of High Street Books strongest Unique Selling Points and an area they really want to focus on in the future. The new premises offers a great opportunity to further develop and enhance the best and most popular parts of the Teacher Resource Centre and will enable parents and students to also avail of the service in the new store.
Speaking about the move, General Manager of High Street Books, Laura Stapleton said “We are very excited about the move as our new store, located by Centra on the South Douglas Road offers us a lot more scope to expand our offering and services to customers, it also has plenty of customer parking right outside our door. Our new premises is much bigger and will allow us to offer a greater range of products and services as well as allowing us to increase the team which is something I am really looking forward to. We have spent many happy years where we are but we will now graduate to the next stage with excitement and joy while leaving behind many happy memories.”
High Street Books has been in the heart of the Cork community for almost two decades and specialises in the schoolbook and educational sector. High Street Books on South Douglas Road will officially open later in 2018. Until then, it is business as usual in all current stores.
