The Green Party in Cork are saddened to hear of the passing of Chris Ramsden of Glenbrook.
Chris was an essential part of CHASE from the beginning, and contributed hugely to fundraising for CHASE over many years.
Dominick Donnelly of the Cork Greens said:
“It is so sad to hear of Chris’s death. He was a thorough gentleman, and was always willing to get involved to protect Cork Harbour. In the local elections in 2009, Chris came out knocking doors with me several times, and we walked all of Monkstown and Glenbrook together, and Chris met every dissenting voice with great good humour and grace.”
“He will be particularly missed by all of us involved with CHASE. For so many years he produced his fabulous calendars with photos of old Cork, and these made a massive contribution to CHASE’s finances over the years. His kind don’t come around too often. Our sincerest sympathies go to his wife Amy and all of his family and friends. May he rest in peace.”
