The Irish rowing team were welcomed home at Cork Airport earlier today,
On the arrival of the Irish rowing team into Cork Airport this afternoon Kevin Cullinane, Head of Communications at Cork Airport said: “At Cork Airport, we are delighted to welcome home gold medallists Gary and Paul O’Donovan and silver medallist Sanita Puspure, along with the extended Irish rowing team who did Ireland proud at the World Rowing Cup in Lucerne.
“Many Irish sporting heroes have landed in Cork Airport over the years following huge achievements overseas. Today we add to that list the successes of Gary and Paul in the men’s lightweight double sculls and Sanita in the women’s single sculls at the 2018 World Rowing Cup. Cork Airport would like to extend our congratulations to the Irish team for their hard work and dedication.”
