CORK SHINE ORGANISATION SCOOP PRIZE AT FBD POSTCARD GARDENS COMPETION AT BLOOM Pictured is Trisha McKeever from SHINE celebrating the organisations award at the FBD Insurance Postcard Garden series at Bord Bia’s Bloom. The Postcard Gardens consisted of small but perfectly formed 2m x 3m plots where garden club members created a showpiece, representing their club, locality or even a special person or character from their community. Entitled ‘The Green Ribbon Garden’, the garden was a collaboration between The Basement Resource Centre Shine a community recovery space for adults with self-experience of mental ill health and SeeChange The National Mental Health Stigma Reduction Campaign working together to bring about positive change in public attitudes and behaviours towards people with mental health problems. Commenting on the award Fiona Muldoon, CEO FBD Insurance said “We were delighted to see such wonderful creativity from all around Ireland. As the country’s only indigenous insurer founded by farmers for farmers in 1967, it has a longstanding commitment to protecting those who want to grow”.
