As the first phase of 8 3 houses nears completion at Janeville, Carrigaline, the first homeowners have now moved into the new development in the Cork suburbs. The developer, Astra Construction, has handed over keys to a number of families, couples and individuals for their A-rated, detached and semi-detached quality homes in recent weeks.
All of the houses in this initial phase of development are now sold, with Astra Construction commencing the next phase of development, which includes 24 detached 4 and 5 bedroomed homes. Given the interest in the first phase, the high quality of the homes and the experience of the building contractor, it is expected that demand will be high for the next phase of homes.
“It’s wonderful to see people moving into their new homes at Janeville, which is a very special development for us at Astra,” said Stephen McCarthy at the handover of keys to the Tucholski family. “Having built more than 1,000 homes in Carrigaline, at Herons Wood and Forest Hills, this development is our largest one to date and we are delighted that demand continues to be high. Carrigaline is a great place to live, with so many schools, amenities and a vibrant town. We will be breaking ground in early June and expect to have the next phase of homes completed by January 2019.”
There are over 100 people employed at Janeville, Carrigaline and despite very bad weather this year, the development has remained mostly on schedule. Adhering to stringent new laws, all Janeville homes are independently certified under the new BCAR System – Building Control Amendment Regulations – and all homes come with a 10-year guarantee provided by Homebond.
