The new pedestrian crossing in Schull has now been completed (CLAR funded under Safety package for Schools). There has been huge support in Schull for this project with the Community, An Garda Siochana and particularly the Schull Community Playgroup (Crèche) and National School all being involved with Cork County Council.
In conjunction with this project extensive resurfacing works have been completed along the entire length of Main Street Schull, funded under the DTTS 2017 Road Restoration Improvement Scheme.
Earlier this year the public toilets by the main pier in Schull were completely refurbished (funded by the West Cork Municipal District Services), and now have the benefit of a separate disabled toilet and four separate individual showers.
These developments in Schull Town have further enhanced facilitates and have been welcomed in an extremely positive manner.
