Race Day will be Saturday 9th December 2017 at 9am, and before that on Friday 8th December 2017 at 7pm there will be a series of Pre-Race motivational talks and a Q&A with Running Legends from around the world.

Winter is upon us and whilst some people are layering up their thermal socks, others are getting out their running shoes and warming up for the popular end of season race in West Cork – the eighth annual Clonakilty Waterfront Marathon, taking place Saturday 9th December.
The route is a stunning testing course with ocean views and gentle hills, set at an ideal date to test your limits – the Clonakilty Waterfront offers distances for all levels and ages: 10K, Half Marathon and the Full Marathon. The Clonakilty Marathon offers top class services for participants including a tec top, race certificate, chip timing, plentiful water stations, energy stations for full marathon runners, free massages, free use of shower, sauna, and pool, at the Quality Hotel, music, an electric atmosphere, and of course the world famous Clonakilty Blackpudding breakfast at the finish line!
With participants from all over the world as far as Canada, New Zealand, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, Germany , UK, Northern Ireland, US , Finland and France signed up so far, there willl be a fantastic buzz in the friendly seaside town for the weekend.
